Table Tennis Lessons in Marin County

Hello, I am Antonio Mancia. Table tennis has been my passion for more than 50 years—both as a player and as a coach.  Whether you are a beginner or experienced club player, my goal is to help you improve your game so you can have more fun and stay in shape at the same time.  I have coached players from 5 years to 91 years old; table tennis is a great sport whatever your age, and helps condition your body, improve your reflexes, and sharpen your brain.

Call me at 415-827-1159 if you have any questions, or are ready to take a trial lesson. I teach at the Odd Fellows Temple in San Rafael at 1525 Mission Avenue, plus I have access to a facility in San Anselmo, or I can come to your place anywhere in Marin if you have a table.  I can give lessons in English or Spanish, in case you want to practice your Spanish while learning table tennis!

RATES

$60 per 60-minute lesson at my San Rafael location; additional charge for home visits.

About Me

I started playing table tennis when I was 11 years old in El Salvador, and at the age of 18 was selected to be on the El Salvador National Team, and participated in many international tournaments in Central America, Mexico, and Asia. We were fortunate to have a top coach from Taiwan train our team during this time.

My proudest achievements include participating in the World Championship in Japan, and placing 6th in the Central American Championship.  I have been certified as a coach by the International Table Tennis Federation for over 10 years.

Client Testimonials

“Three years ago I started playing at a local club, and my “garage” ping-pong skills were no match for the serious players. With Antonio’s coaching my game has improved significantly so I can now hit with highly skilled players, and even win every now and then. He is an extremely dedicated instructor; he clearly gives great thought every single lesson to how to improve my game, and I recommend him without reservation.”

— Victor, 61 years old

“Working in Tech, I was lucky enough to be able to play ping pong regularly with co-workers and even entered the company tournament each year. But I never got past the ‘beginners’ bracket and even then didn’t win many matches. Finally, I was tired of losing and hired Antonio to help me improve. Now I’m putting mad spin on the ball, chopping back shots, and have more than one serve! Antonio is very patient and knows how to unlock his student’s potential. I highly recommend working with him if you want to start playing well and having fun.”
